South Korea Retailers Halt US Beef Sates for MAD COW

South Korea stepped up inspections of U.S. beef following the discovery of the mad cow disease in a U.S. dairy cow that led to two major retailers to pull the meet off the shelves.  Many individuals from South Korea are worried for the halt in sales of the U.S. beef.  South Korea is the world's fourth-largest importer of U.S. beef, buying about 100,000 tons of the meat worth around $600 million dollars in the year of 2011.  Everywhere else in Asia continue to say that there is no reason to restrict these imports.  The mad cow disease, also called bovine spongiform encephalopathy, is fatal to cowsand can cause a deadly human brain disease in people who eat tainted beef.

Optimism Is Good For the Heart!

Being upbeat and optimistic just may help protect against heart disease.  Scientist have long known that people that are chronically angry, anxious or depressed have a higher risk of heart attacks.  In Harvard University a review says that rather than focusing only on how to lessen heart risks, "it might also be useful to focus on how we might bolster the positive side of things" said Julia Boehm, the lead researcher in Harvard School of Public Health.  Although if you are always a pessimist, some research has found that asking people to smile helps put them in a better mood, although long-term effects aren't clear.

Pizza Sales Rise with Hot-Dog Stuffed Crusts

The pizza sales here high well before the Pizza Hut revealed its hot-dog-stuffed-crust in Britain this week.  Now, 41 percent of consumers had said that they eat pizza once a week.  Two years ago, we only had 26% that ate pizza once a week.  The reason this is because restaurants are offering more options beyond the carboard-y dough and old oily pepperoni discs, this is according to Technomic.  There are many restaurants that provide a variety of different pizza's for all kinds of tastes, some including organic, and vegetarian tendencies.  Even Domino's had picked some on these tendencies, launching its Artisan pizza line in September.
